Why am I running for Mayor again?
It is quite Simple. Since being re-elected, the current Mayor of Minneapolis has made no improvements on the livability for the citizens of Minneapolis. I believe it is self-evident, no one can deny the consistent decline of Minneapolis in every aspect and or category that defines the concept of livability. Violent crimes are still on the rise and the city’s economy and commerce is on steady decline mode, what does the current mayor decides to do? He dis-invests in the Minneapolis Police Department by creating a Department of Public Safety and hiring a Department of Public Safety at $300,000.00 annual salary. Money that should have gone to the Minneapolis Police Department.
Furthermore, while Minneapolis citizens are struggling with in general an extremely bad economy and currently being extremely overtaxed, the current Mayor’s solution is to rise Minneapolis city taxes consistently year after year after year leading into 2025. As Matter of fact in the election year of 2025 his budget calls for 5% to 7% on top the 5% to 7% increase in taxes from 2024, 2023, 2022. Taxing the citizens of Minneapolis to death is not how we solve the economic problems facing our beloved city.

The divisive leadership of Minneapolis’s Mayor’s office and city council is a plague on our city that needs to be eradicated. Every elected official in the city of Minneapolis who has been in office since 2016 should be ashamed of themselves. The hateful and divisive messaging and polices have has taken our beloved city of Minneapolis to the brink of complete ruin.
It’s time for common sense policy and governance in the City of Minneapolis. Common sense policy that works and benefits all the citizens of Minneapolis. Public Safety policy that equally serves and protects all the citizens of Minneapolis. Common sense public safety policy that can appreciate and support law enforcement while demonstrating accountability.
It’s time for common sense economic revitalization policies and strategies that benefit all the citizens of Minneapolis. Economic revitalization policies and strategies that inspire and encourage growth in commerce. Economic revitalization policies and strategies that will allow for all the hardworking citizens of Minneapolis to a little extra money in their bank account and in their pocket. Economic revitalization policies and strategies that will make a “Better and Brighter” Minneapolis. Let’s turn around Minneapolis for the 21st century, Minneapolis “The Shining City on The River”.
Urban Pride Movement:
I have spent all of my adult life serving my community and recently I have been broadening my thinking on how I can serve my community in a greater capacity. Through my L.C.T. Consulting LLC, a Hop Hip political consulting, public relation and marketing company I decided to create and public service message to restore Urban Pride of the citizens of Minneapolis. The Urban Pride Movement is committed to the community to combat black on black crime and gun violence in the black communities and urban centers.
The Urban Pride Movement hopes to inspire a citywide movement as a call to Minneapolis residents to solve the violence problem in our communities. Be a apart of the solution from a personal responsibility perspective and understanding that government cannot solve this issue and achieve the goal with a free market approach and solution. Now I want my campaign for Minneapolis to be the spring board to spark and reignite the pride in our beloved city of Minneapolis.
